We have been commissioned to produce a series of films for Sonar+D and Mazda Rebels about artists who make a disruptive use of technology.
The second installment of A Taste of Sónar+D by Mazda Rebels at Mazda Space took place on April 9th and presented the performance “Braun Tube Jazz Band” by the Japanese artist Ei Wada.
In order to put into film the ideas and creative process behind the project, we both filmed the show and his set-up process. Ei Wada's Jazz Band is a group made up of seven cathode ray tube televisions that he uses as percussion instruments that generate sound and image at the same time.
