Here's the video we made about the Future Library 2023 Handover Day. It was a special day in which authors Judith Schalansky and Ocean Vuong handed over their manuscripts to the Future Library trust, to remain unpublished until 2114.
The Future Library project is a public artwork by artist Katie Paterson commissioning and collecting an original work by a writer every year from 2014 to 2114. The works will remain unread and unpublished until 2114, and are stored in the purpose-built Silent Room in Oslo's public library Deichman Bjørvika. The works will be printed on paper made from 1,000 trees, which have been especially planted for this project and are currently growing in Nordmarka, a forest just outside Oslo.
