‘Loops’ kinetic sculpture — project film

We teamed up with SpY Urban Art studio and Studio Banana to produce this film about the artwork ‘Loops’, installed in Bern, Switzerland.

Filmed on location in Bern (Switzerland) and Munich (Germany), this project film captures the installation and reflections about the design process, featuring interviews with project leads from Inselspital Bern, Studio Banana, MKTe Engineering and ASTOC Architects and Planners (Archipel).

‘Loops’ is a large-scale kinetic sculpture hanging from the atrium of the brand new Anna-Seiler-Haus building at Bern’s University Hospital — Inselspital. In ‘Loops’, 24 large rings move within the atrium space, following a choreography of floating shapes and compositions. The constant movement of the rings and the different patterns programmed into the choreography provided a myriad of camera angles and POV that increased exponentially when moving across floors.
