We were commissioned to produce a film to present the Meta Gesture Music research project, which looks at gesture in musical performance and the engagement of the human body with sound. Hosted by EAVI, the research group focused on embodied interaction with sound and image at Goldsmiths University. The project culminated with a concert at London’s Rich Mix, a CD distributed by WIRE magazine, and this very film we are happy to share. Featuring artists Atau Tanaka, Sarah Nicolls, Dane Law, Renick Bell, Steph Horak, Tom Richards, Laetitia Sonami and Ewa Justka.
